When a Lagos Life arrest notice appears, read the charge, fine, cell time and offered resolution before choosing. The recorded ordinary-arrest screen offers Pay the fine, Sit in the cell, or Call a lawyer. Bail is a further option where the cell status allows it. Different charges and EFCC custody can have different rules.
A confirmed ordinary-arrest example
In the 6 October full-features recording, the player attempts the CcHub ATM-crime action and receives Arrested! for bank fraud. The readable screen quotes ₦20,000,000 as the fine, six minutes in the cell and ₦7,000,000 for a lawyer. Parts of the spoken transcript omit zeros, so those spoken numbers are not a reliable price list.
The player chooses the cell, and the next viewed state names Eko Police Division · Lagos Island with an out at time and bail option. This establishes a trigger, arrest choice and detention state. Those historical charges are not universal current fines; use the notice returned for your account.
Choose an available resolution
| Option | What the official instructions say | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Pay the fine | Leave the ordinary arrest by paying the quoted fine | Sufficient wallet, charge receipt and ended restriction |
| Sit in the cell | Wait until the stated release time without paying that fine immediately | Current cell status and its Out time |
| Pay bail | Leave eligible detention early | Current bail quote and any no-bail notice |
| Ask someone | Send a bail request to an eligible contact | The request’s Bail paid state, then the detainee’s status |
| Call a lawyer | Pay the quoted legal fee and follow the court process | Verdict and resulting release/reduced custody; victory is not guaranteed |
The current official friend-bail interface explicitly distinguishes an unpaid request, Bail paid and a person who has already served their time. Asking for help is not payment. A plain gift or transfer is also not identical to paying a bail request.
Check restrictions and recovery
While the cell restriction is active, ordinary travel and non-cell activities can be blocked. Use the available cell food, rest and toilet actions if needed. Check the stated Out time, or the outcome after an allowed fine/bail payment. Confirm the cell banner is gone and ordinary movement/action controls are available again before calling the detention resolved.
That is the game’s documented completion check, not a claim that this guide performed a release transaction. If payment appears to have failed, preserve the result and balance record before paying twice. For an interface stuck beyond the displayed state, use loading help and official support.
EFCC custody is a different case
Current notices can identify EFCC custody: no bail, frozen assets, blocked transfers and court-specific choices. Do not assume the ordinary police Pay bail route overrides that notice. Read the active case’s terms, fee and verdict; buying or selling assets may be blocked while frozen.
Do not change the device clock to bypass detention or use scripts to force a release. An old video’s proposed clock trick is not an official remedy and can conflict with the Terms’ exploit restrictions. For ordinary play, use supported earning activities rather than treating the presence of a risky in-game crime as a guaranteed income method.
