Lagos Life’s official Terms describe two main commercial routes: selling digital game units and selling advertising or brand integrations. The public signup is labelled free. This describes the service’s offered business model, not an audited statement of how much revenue it earns from each source.
What the service can sell
| Commercial route | Examples described in the Terms | What the purchaser receives |
|---|---|---|
| Game Naira and digital products | Virtual units or other offered digital items | The specified game entitlement, subject to the purchase terms. |
| Advertising placements | Billboards, banners, environmental lots and discovery/statistics placements | The agreed placement or service. |
| Brand integrations | Branded venues, activities, products, virtual-phone applications and sponsored experiences | The integration agreed with the purchaser. |
Terms §§9–11 describe these categories as offers the service may make. That is not evidence that every placement is currently for sale, that every visible brand is a customer, or that a listed product has generated revenue. Prices and scope are shown before purchase or agreed separately.
A logo is not proof of a sponsorship
The Disclaimer distinguishes an actual commercial designation from a brand appearing in the fictional world. Unless the service identifies a brand as a partner, sponsor, advertiser or equivalent, its presence does not establish a paid relationship or endorsement.
Advertising terms also do not promise a particular number of impressions, sales or conversions unless separately agreed. A public activity counter is not an independently audited audience report; the statistics guide explains the limits of those labels.
Player money and company revenue are different
Working in the simulation generates Game Naira under game rules. It does not create a share of the operator’s sales. Likewise, paying real money for virtual units does not give the player a right to withdraw their game balance. See the explicit cash-out rule.
Reported money is not audited revenue
In her 7 October 2026 Zikoko interview, Shalom reported earnings above $46,000 by that interview. The excerpt does not define an accounting cut-off, gross/net treatment or audited revenue breakdown. Keep it as a dated creator statement rather than a verified company account.
Vatar’s 9 October 2026 announcement separately describes a $500,000 angel funding round. Financing is not sales revenue or profit. No audited revenue split or profitability calculation is supplied here. The Terms establish commercial categories and purchase conditions, not investment performance.
