To talk to another Lagos Life player, meet in the same location, select their avatar, check that the profile identifies a Real player, then choose Chat. A 7 October recording shows this working at Elegushi Beach, including a sent private message. It demonstrates an encounter and chat, rather than an automatic friend-code or party system.

Meet at a named location

Agree on the destination with the person you want to meet. In the recorded example, the player uses the phone’s travel interface to choose Elegushi Beach, selects Keke, checks Go · ₦200, and arrives at the beach among named avatars. Read your own trip quote before confirming: that recorded fare is not a current universal price. See travel and arrival checks.

Being in the same city is less specific than being at the same named venue. The recording does not establish a global username search, invitation link, shared-server selector or guaranteed way to locate an offline friend.

Open a player’s chat

  1. Select the intended avatar after arriving. Compare the displayed username with the person you meant to contact.
  2. Check the profile identity. The observed profile says Real player · hanging out; the Terms also allow NPCs and simulated characters, so an avatar alone is not proof that a human controls it.
  3. Choose Chat, type the message and use the send control. In the recording, “Hi” appears in the conversation as a sent bubble. That confirms a sent-message state; it does not establish that the recipient read or answered it.

The same profile displays Ask to be my Bae, Add as family, Block and Report. These are visible choices, not proof that a relationship request has been accepted. A Send money control in chat also does not prove that a transfer has occurred; use recipient, fee and receipt checks to complete that separate task.

Visibility and unwanted contact

The privacy policy treats profiles and permitted social activity as player-visible and describes account, chat and moderation data. Avoid putting a password, recovery ticket or payment details into a message or public profile.

Use the profile’s Block or Report controls for unwanted contact. The recording establishes those controls, not their processing time or a guaranteed moderation outcome. For account-access problems, use the official help route, rather than sending credentials to another player.

Source-based checklist: Before you send a message. Meet at the same named venue. Check the username and Real player label. Chat: sent bubble does not prove a reply.
